When should I book?

Most seniors schedule their portrait session 2–5 months before their yearbook deadline, with the majority of sessions taking place during the summer before senior year.

Booking early gives you the best selection of dates, ideal weather, plenty of time for outfit planning, and flexibility if a reschedule is needed. I begin accepting senior reservations in mid-May, and on-location sessions fill quickly, so early booking is recommended.

What if it rains?

I will keep a close eye on the weather leading up to your session and will contact you if I anticipate any issues. If we need to postpone due to inclement weather, we'll reschedule for the next available date.. Don’t be afraid of overcast days! They produce some of my favorite images.

What is your
rescheduling policy?

With the exception of unforeseeable issues like sickness or family emergencies, rescheduling can be requested up to 14 days before your photoshoot. Please be mindful of the date you have reserved. If you request to reschedule less than 14 days before your photoshoot, a $50 rescheduling fee may apply.

Each year more and more schools are allowing images from outside photographers to be sent in for use in the yearbook. There may be unique requirements and some private schools may have different rules. Be sure to check with your school office directly. Every school is different.

If you attend a public school in Massachusetts, below is the law.
"The Department of the Attorney General has declared that public schools prohibiting students from using a nonofficial photographer to produce their senior portraits is in violation of the Massachusetts Antitrust Act, General Law Chapter 93, Section 4."

Can I send in a yearbook image from an outside photographer?

When will I receive my photos?

Allow 3 weeks after your session for delivery of your Digital Collection and approximately 2 weeks for a scheduled in studio image review.

Do you offer a payment plan?

If you would like me to set up a payment plan, just let me know! I’d be happy to split the payments into what feels comfortable for you.

What is editing vs. retouching?

Editing - Every image you receive is professionally edited to enhance its overall look while keeping it natural and true to you. Editing includes adjustments to color, brightness, contrast, and cropping

Basic Facial Retouching may be added to any digital image for $20 per image.

Complex Facial Retouching (such as extensive acne correction) starts at $25+ per image.

Basic facial retouching is included with all images purchased in a Portrait Collection or À La Carte.

Basic Facial Retouching Includes:

  • Blemish Removal: Temporary blemishes and minor acne are gently retouched while maintaining a natural appearance.

  • Skin Smoothing: Subtle smoothing creates a polished, natural look while maintaining your skin's authentic texture.

  • Stray Hair Cleanup: Loose hairs across the face or blown by the wind are removed, while preserving your natural hairstyle.

  • Eye Enhancement: Subtle brightening of the eyes and catchlights for a fresh, natural look.

  • Teeth Whitening: Light whitening for a healthy, natural smile.

Things I won’t retouch unless you ask me:

  • Birthmarks, moles, freckles and scars: I’ll leave these alone by default. If you’d like them removed let me know in advance

Additional Retouching Services

Some enhancements require more detailed retouching and are available for an additional fee.

  • Braces Removal: Pricing varies depending on the complexity of your smile and whether upper and/or lower braces need to be removed.

  • Eyeglass Glare: Pricing varies. I do my best to avoid glare during your session, but in some situations it can't be completely eliminated. If possible, bring a second pair of glasses with the lenses removed. If you wear transition lenses, please remove them for your portraits.

  • Bra Strap Removal: To minimize retouching, choose nude or strapless undergarments when appropriate. Bra strap removal is available for an additional fee.

  • Tan Line Correction: If you have noticeable tan lines, selecting outfits that help minimize them is recommended. Retouching is available for an additional fee.
