When should I book?

With most yearbook images due by the end of October, most seniors schedule sessions the summer before their senior year begins. The earlier you book the better! I start booking mid May. It is not as hot or buggy then so if you’re available, so am I! I tend to book up quickly and have especially limited availability for on location sessions, so it is best to call early to reserve your session.

What if it rains?

I will keep a close eye on the weather forecast leading up to your photoshoot date and will let you know if I anticipate any issues. In the event of inclement weather, we will reschedule to the next available date. Don’t be afraid of overcast days! They produce some of my favorite images.

What is your
rescheduling policy?

With the exception of unforeseeable issues like sickness or family emergencies, rescheduling can be requested up to 14 days before your photoshoot. Please be mindful of the date you have reserved. If you request to reschedule less than 14 days before your photoshoot, a $50 rescheduling fee may apply.

Each year more and more schools are allowing images from outside photographers to be sent in for use in the yearbook. There may be unique requirements and some private schools may have different rules. Be sure to check with your school office directly. Every school is different.

If you attend a public school in Massachusetts, below is the law.
"The Department of the Attorney General has declared that public schools prohibiting students from using a nonofficial photographer to produce their senior portraits is in violation of the Massachusetts Antitrust Act, General Law Chapter 93, Section 4."

Can I send in a yearbook image from an outside photographer?

When will I receive my photos?

Allow 3 weeks after your session for delivery of your Digital Collection. I will send you an email with a link to your final gallery. From the gallery you can download and print your images.

Do you offer a payment plan?

If you would like me to set up a payment plan, just let me know! I’d be happy to split the payments into what feels comfortable for you.

What is editing vs. retouching?

Editing is always included and consists of proper exposure, white balance, cropping, straightening.

Basic Facial Retouching can be added to any digital image you receive and includes any or all listed below. Basic Facial Retouch $15 per image
Complex Facial Retouch $20+ (sever acne beyond basic blemishes)
Please note: Any images selected in a Portrait Collection or A la cart’ include basic facial retouching.

  • Skin (Blemishes/Acne): I’ll make sure to remove them for you!

  • Stray Hairs: This could be a hair over your face or just a hair that blew away in the wind. I will not remove the natural edge of your hair .

  • Brightening Eyes: I usually brighten the whites and catch lights as well.

  • Teeth Whitening: I keep this to a minimum to maintain a natural look.

Things I won’t retouch unless you ask me:

  • Birthmarks, moles, freckles and scars: I’ll leave these alone by default, but if you want them removed let me know.

Additional retouching available

  • Braces - price varies depending on smile, uppers and/or lowers etc.

  • Eyeglass glare - price varies.
I do my best to avoid eyeglass glare but sometimes its inevitable. If possible, bring a spare pair with the lenses removed for your shoot. If you have transition lenses, removing them is essential.

  • Bra Strap - Please consider your undergarments when making your clothing selections. If they are showing they can be removed.

  • Tan lines - Again, please consider your clothing selections if you have strong tan lines, that being said they can also be removed if necessary.
